I Need 1000mg per Day

When I awoke I felt a dread
From the pit of my soul
Fear and then sorrow
consumed me whole.

Worried thoughts, and oh
the frustrations!
No human can help,
So I’m calling all stations.

A thread of trust
Hangs alone and bear
It warms my heart
as I sense it there.

For I know that no earthly love,
Food-rest or pill
Could fill in this gap
only God can fill.

And after all said and day done
Still with emotions-forever re learning,
And when I lose sight yet cannot place how,
‘Whatever’ ends up with a similar yearning.

I run to my Lord
I run like the wind,
I’m open before Him
and sorry I sinned.

He blesses,forgives me,
Renews and enlightens,
His mightiness awes me,
Amazes-yet frightens.

I’m healthily hooked
on my dose of the Word
And frustrated to think of
all those who’ve not heard.

I cannot express my feelings in short
I’m chasing the wind-there’s no great enough phrase,
But there are words beyond meaning and outside of thought
When God is revealed at the break of our days.
