One 2 One

Alone and lonely yesterday,
I sat in the darkness
and started to pray.
I missed the Lord and told him
of my empty confusion,
and life without Him in my soul –
a frustrating illusion.
My eyes swelled up with grateful tears
overwhelming my sensation,
for He was talking back to me –
a two way conversation.
I needed God back in my life –
i asked Him there and then,
no sooner had i made my plea
He entered back again.
I only had to say the word
i’d feared it was too late,
but God, i’ve found, is close beside
and patiently in wait.
I cried for His forgiveness –
He did so straight away,
His comfort soothed away the hurt –
I’ll take a lot more time to pray.
God eases up the pain we bear
of when we’re lonely, mad or bored,
I won’t pretend, just recommend –
There’s no other cure than to chat to the Lord.
