Sea Bird
Here am I
and I am here
Sea surrounded
me dumbfounded
And hounded by reality
and one that I resent
The floored and unsafe that was not meant
I seek out peace
for mind’s release
But it’s always interfered with
sometimes sending something weird with –
And with waves crashing
Thoughts thrashing
Mighty envy of a bird in flight
Oh how I want =
I wish = I dream
To achieve such speed
To reach that height
This earth I love
But not the world
It hurts to include –
my eyes = how rude
Enhancing and advancing mood
moves on toward a strong decision
For after years of thought revision
Love is my choice
And I will hear only GOD’S voice
Contentment twinned with a radical acceptance
A skill – I find
re tunes my mind
I can live
And learn to forgive
this world and how it strives downhill
and oh – how it always will
as evil drinks it’s fill
And better yet, I’ll suffer-knowing why that is
For JESUS went first and I am His
And I am free to see – look – stare
For in all that meets my eyes
God is there
A sea bird ups and flies- and in mastery- swoops
letting long cries as I move near it
And I am blessed
I’m there to hear it.
